This Privacy Policy explains how the Science Shorts: GCSE Sciences app (the “App”), provided by Bluefield Studios Ltd, handles your information.

1. No account required

The App is free to use and does not require you to sign up or create an account.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal details unless you choose to provide them in feedback (see Section 4).

2. What data is stored

Your quiz answers, results, and progress are stored only on your device.

We do not have access to this data, and it is not uploaded to our servers, except where temporarily required for certain features such as Instant AI Feedback.

If the App is deleted, reinstalled, or something goes wrong, your progress may be lost. We cannot recover or restore it.

3. Instant AI Feedback (Premium Feature)

The Instant AI Feedback feature is available only to Premium users. It analyses your quiz questions and answers to provide feedback on areas to improve.

To generate this feedback, the App temporarily uploads your quiz data (not personal information) to our secure servers for automated analysis. This data is used only for feedback generation and is automatically deleted shortly after processing.

We do not store, profile, or associate this data with you personally. No names, emails, or identifiers are collected.

Because the tool uses artificial intelligence, the feedback may occasionally contain errors or inaccurate suggestions. You can report these within the App if needed.

4. Feedback and email addresses

The App includes a feedback option that allows you to report errors or suggest improvements.

Feedback is anonymous by default.

There is an optional field to provide your email address if you would like us to follow up.

If you provide your email, it will only be used to respond to your message.

We do not share your email with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing or newsletters.

If you do not include your email, your feedback remains anonymous.

5. Analytics and tracking

We use the following optional tools to help improve the App’s performance and reliability:

Google Analytics (opt-in):
Helps us understand how people use the App, such as which features are most popular. No personal or identifying information is collected. You can choose whether to enable this when prompted.

Sentry.io:
Tracks technical issues and crashes so we can identify and fix problems. This data is limited to device type, app version, and error information. It does not include personal data.

6. External links

The App includes links to external websites (such as our YouTube channel for revision resources).

We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of these external sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

7. Children’s privacy

This App is designed for students aged 14–16 preparing for GCSE science exams.

If you are under 18, you should use the App with permission from a parent, guardian, or teacher.

If you are under 13, please do not submit your email address or any personal details when sending feedback.

8. Premium Access purchases

If you choose to purchase Premium Access, payments are handled securely by Google Play or the Apple App Store.

We do not collect or store any payment information. All transactions are governed by the respective app store’s privacy and refund policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The most recent version will always be available within the App. Significant updates may also be noted in the App Store description or on our website.
